What is Reduced Glutathione?
Glutathione is in a reduced state when it lacks an oxygen molecule but has an extra donor electron. This allows it to act as an antioxidant by handling free radicals with unpaired electrons.
This amino acid contains L-glutamic acid, glycine, and L-cysteine. It metabolizes into L-cystine (two bound L-cysteine molecules) in the body. This supplement essentially provides dietary L-cysteine.
Glutathione Benefits
The efficacy of reduced glutathione as an antioxidant isn’t as pronounced as NAC. Read more about how NAC is a more effective alternative.
Powder Dosage and Instructions
