The Reishi Extraction Process

This is a hot water extract. Unlike other hot water reishi extracts, Nammex reishi extract contains triterpenoids. This compound is usually only found in some ethanol extracts. Nammex uses whole fruiting bodies grown on wood instead of the usual mycelium on grain process used by other manufacturers. Most ethanol extracts also contain little to no beta-glucans.

Reish Extract Quality

This reishi extract contains at least 30% beta-glucans and less than 2% starch. Higher starch levels are indicative of mycelium on grain production, which you do not want for your mushroom extract product.

Reishi Mushroom Powder Dosage

When taken as an extract, the required dosage is less than reishi powder alone. The strength of the extract also matters. Due to the higher potency of this Nammex reishi mushroom extract, the required dosage is only 1000 mg.

Benefits

Sleep health promoting benefits from reishi may be seen after 3 days. Energy promotion may be noticed after 3 to 6 weeks. Reishi also promotes a healthy mood. There are many other benefits which exceed the scope of a dietary supplement. Read more about these at examine or selfhacked.

What Others Are Saying

Let’s look at some reishi experiences from around the web:

“Some of you may have heard of a company called GanoExcel. They’re a network marketing company that distributes a healthy coffee substitute. Instead of coffee beans, the beverage is made from the Reishi mushroom, but apparently doesn’t taste like mushrooms. I’ve never tried it mainly because I hate mushrooms, but they say it is full bodied, delicious, and extremely satisfying, and the feeling you will get of increased energy lasts, because it comes from Ganoderma, not from caffeine. Ganoderma is the active ingredient derived from the Reishi Mushroom. Not sure, but I think you can get a free sample from the company or a distributor.” – healthyweightforum.org

“I started taking Reishi mushroom and hawthorn capsules for cardio support on the advice of an acupuncturist friend…I’m not sure if it’s making a huge difference or not, but it feels good to be doing *something*.” -mothering.com

“My only ‘must have’ supplement is probably Reishi Mushroom, gives a subtle but noticeable boost to overall well-being …” longecity.org
