My husband and I were looking for an affordable way to avoid having to do our cardio workouts outside in the cold Pennsylvania winters. With limited space in our home, we needed something fairly small that could fold up and be put out of the way when not in use. The Ativafit x8 Foldable Bike seemed to check all of our boxes. It was lightweight, foldable, and a fraction of the price of other exercise bikes.
The Ativafit x8 foldable bike arrived well packaged in a couple of pieces, requiring a little bit of assembly. The included instructions were easy to follow, and there were no tools required. After only a short time, the bike was fully assembled and ready to go.
One of the major perks for this bike (and one of the main reasons we chose this bike) is that it can fold up and be stored away when not in use. For reference, I am a one hundred pound woman, and I have no difficulty moving this bike around to use and folding it back up to put it away. Below are the measurements of the bike, both when folded and unfolded.
The bike has a wide, cushioned seat that can be adjusted in height using the knob on the back of the bike below the seat. The bike is designed for people in the height range of 5’0″ to 5’11” and under 250 pounds. It has eight levels of resistance, which can be adjusted using the knob below the handlebars (see photo below). The pedals have straps to slide your feet into to help keep them in place.
Lastly, between the handlebars, you’ll find a screen that displays a timer and an odometer to aid in tracking your calories burned. Above the screen is a ledge to place you phone, ipad, book, etc. with a rubber grip to keep it in place.
Although this bike doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of the smart bikes on the market, it is great quality and a great price. If you are looking for a budget-friendly, compact, lightweight bike for a good indoor cardio workout, I would recommend the Ativafit X8 Foldable Bike.
